Objective: The goal of Journey to Equality is to reach out to other gay people who may feel alone or misunderstood, and to give people a place to come where they can receive meaning and new life. Journey to Equality , hopefully, will become home to many out there in the gay world and beyond. We hope to bring peace, understanding, and most of all, a desire to strive to get the equal rights everyone deserves. Everyone is welcome here - gay and straight, women and men, white and black, and everyone in between. But in order to get to that level, we must continue to prove to others who still have old fashioned ways of thinking and are not yet ready to see gay and straight people as equal, that we are no different. One day we will be equal, but until that time, we have to unite, educate, and show those who are still in the dark that we are not monsters or mistakes of God, but that we are just normal everyday men and women that want to live our lives the same as everybody else.
